I have been very fortunate to work in theater education, and have extensive experience working with kids from aged 3 all the way to 17.

While studying at Temple University, I co-founded an organization called Insomnia Theater, which is still running strong 10 years later. At first the organization was a way for students to conceive, write, rehearse and perform mini-plays within 24 hours. Eventually, we created an outreach program that brought theater programs into schools in North Philadelphia.

Upon graduation, I spent three years aboard Disney Cruise Line, with much of the time spent in the Youth Activities Department as an Entertainment Host.

I have also had the pleasure and privilege of working with Theatre Horizon, Passage Theatre Company, and Limelight Performing Arts Center in their after-school and summer programs. On stage, I have worked as a TYA actor for the Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre and Ritz Theatre Company.

In the era of COVID-19, I have moved to online teaching. I currently teach English via videochat to children in China. I am also offering services as a Spanish teacher / tutor to adults and children alike. I am available to tutor, teach or coach in English, History, Literature, Dramaturgy and of course Theater and Improv. Feel free to email matt.flocco@gmail.com for rates and availability!
